From now on, local actors can research on available funding options for their project via the EU-Communal-Compass for the funding period 2021-2027. There, local actors are supplied with information on environment- and sustainability-related funding options across all European Structural Funds and the Agricultural Funds.

On November 3rd, the annual assembly of ERDF was held in a digital format. Under the slogan "Empowerment of Research, Technological Development and Innovation", information was spread on changes in structural funds on regional, national and European level as well as on chances and challenges for financing in the areas of research, technological development and innovation presented by beneficiaries.

On 01.09.2022, the opening of the programmes of the ERDF and and ESF+ for the funding period 2021-2027 as well as the constitutive conference of the shared committee of ERDF and ESF+ were held at Schloss Friedenstein in Gotha.

On Sptember 1st, Thuringia's Minister for Economic Affairs, Wolfgang Tiefensee, together with Professor Dr Reimund Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer Society, officially opened the new building of the Fraunhofer Institute in Ilmenau.

With cost acumulating to 2,3 million, about 2,2 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the site "In den Fichtlerswiesen" in Jena has been developed as an expansion of the Campus at Beuthenberg. The site, which has been newly developed with regard to media and traffic, will be used to locate new fields of research.
