GERMANY NATURE AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION UNION REGIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THURINGIA

Measures and action-oriented beaver management

Beavers are among the strictly protected species. Their presence has an important effect on water ecosystems since species-rich and structurally rich habitats begin to originate wherever beavers settle. Since 2007, the beaver has become native again to Thuringia. The beaver population has constantly been growing ever since, and gradually the rodents have populated more and more waters in the Free State.

FROEB-VERPACKUNGEN GMBH (PACKAGING)

Technology platform for recyclable paper/cardboard circuit board solutions

Innovation and creativity have long been vital traits for advanced package solutions. Apart from just protecting its contents, packaging or advertising material made of cardboard is meant to attract attention and/or inform. Hence, smart cardboard packaging is used - optionally including either an illumination or visualization function. However, the drawback of these products is that they simply do not meet the sustainability requirements in most cases.
